Your guide to food at the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, Bahamas

The Baha Mar Resort in Nassau has so many food options that it can be overwhelming trying to make reservations before your trip and choosing where to eat everyday.

There are over 45 dining options on the resort grounds, ranging from food trucks on the beach to high class sushi restaurants. Since there are so many delicious options offered, I’m only going to cover some of my favorite places that I ate at during my stay at Baha Mar.

An unexpected lovely breakfast spot that I ended up eating at every morning was Scoops, the ice cream shack. I know what you are thinking, “ice cream for breakfast everyday- I can’t wait to go to the Bahamas!”

However, in the morning, Scoops serves coffee and pastries. The close to beach location makes this option perfect for grabbing an iced coffee and chocolate croissant and walking along the shore before it gets too hot.

My two go-to lunch spots were Da’ Poke Bowl and the Streetbird food truck on the beach. The food from both of these places was fantastic, they are quick, easy, and give off beachy vibes.

I recommend the Ponzu Salmon Poke Bowl from Da’ Poke Bowl for a refreshingly crisp meal. Streetbird is owned by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson and has some of the crispiest chicken I have ever tasted.

The fanciest restaurant I dined at was Cinkō Asian Latino Grill. The fusion of Asian and Latino flavors at this restaurant creates a once in a lifetime unique culinary experience. When I was there I tried the Crispy Grilled Salmon Roll, Tropical Crunch Roll, and Chaufa, all phenomenal choices!

Another must-try restaurant is the famed Sugar Factory. This restaurant is known for its oversized drinks, crazy milkshakes, and colorful food! The Sugar Factory also has many photo op areas around their building. Pictured below is their famous King Kong Sundae, which will definitely give you a sugar rush! Definitely worth a visit!

Baha Mar has many other diverse restaurants that I didn’t mention above, including, but not limited to, Cleo, Katsuya, The Swimming Pig, and El Jefe.

Keep in mind that there are many people on the resort grounds and they all need to eat, meaning you don’t need reservations, however I highly recommend them. From personal experience I know that it can be impossible to get a reservation day of and there can be crazy long waits.

Luckily, Baha Mar has an amazing site with all of their restaurants with links to their menus, their opening times, and an easy way to book reservations. There are no show fees that can be very pricey, so make sure to either show up or cancel your reservation beforehand.
